Thanks for all the messages, my dog had to be put down this morning, it came as a shock when I found out yesterday.
Heading out for brunch meeting at the Beach in Santa Monica but managed to split the only short trousers I brought with me.

After nine hours of worrying US passport control was a breeze. Thank you UK border patrol for making a big deal over nothing.
Super worried! Despited being granted a visa wavier the guy in uk boarding just wished me luck getting into the US at other end.
So just been told issue is a green slip was never take out my passport by person at the border so offically I’ve never left / overstayed.
Not sure how that becomes my fault but guess I will find out after a 10 hour flight.
Eventful check in at Newcastle airport. Hopefully smooth from now on.
